Sea Urchins by Judy Niemeyer
The latest quilt from the Judy Niemeyer Trunk show arrived today!
Sea Urchins!
I have been so excited about this quilt coming as part of the trunk show. The high contrast of light batik sea urchins and jelly fish floating in a dark sea of batiks make this a striking quilt. We were so excited when it got here Sandy and Sue went right to work selecting fabrics for kits, which will be available very soon.
I’m still fairly new at paper piecing but not afraid to jump in! I just started the Stepping Stones quilt last week and I love it! I’m super excited about the Judy Niemeyer workshops coming in February. I have signed up for the Feb. 25th one day workshop to learn the S-curve technique and to soak up as much info as I can from Judy. There are still 3 openings left in the Feb. 25th workshop. If you would like to join the fun give us a call!
As soon as I get a couple of the beginning paper piecing quilts under my belt I will definitely be making the Sea Urchins quilt. I already bought the pattern.
I’m dreaming big for the new year!
