Quilter’s Paradise Retreat 2012
Join the fun at Quilting by the Bay’s 5th Annual Quilter’s Retreat!

Our Quilters Paradise Retreat includes the following:
- Lodging for 2 nights (all rooms include mini-fridge and microwave)
- All meals from Friday evening dinner through Sunday lunch
- Block Challenge - fabric and guidelines will be mailed to all participants
- Conference center sewing rooms will be open starting at noon on Friday through Sunday 3 p.m.
- Door prizes, games, and fun, fun, fun!
This year we are bringing back Pat Wys as our instructor for the retreat! Pat has taught at two past retreats and always gets rave reviews. We consider Pat the queen of "edutainment" as she is such a wealth of quilting knowledge and is just bursting at the seams with enthusiasm. Pat has been passionate about quilting for over 30 years and this fall Martingale is publishing Pat's first book "Spotlight on Neutrals". Pat will be teaching techniques for 5 of the quilts featured in this book; the quilts are pictured below (of course, you can choose to make your quilt in any colorway you want). Each retreat participant will receive a signed copy of Pat's book in November along with fabric for our annual Block Challenge.
We have lots of fun and educational events planned. Pat will present her lecture "The Value of Value" which is all about color and value including the overall concept of using neutrals to create beautiful quilts. We will have Show and Tell on Sunday Morning where you can bring any project you are working on or completed to show off to your fellow retreaters. Pat will present her "I Got a Notion" lecture where you'll learn about many of the latest and greatest quilting notions and techniques. On Saturday night we will have a variety of games you can participate in including Left, Right, Center and Quilt Bingo. Pat has even mentioned Survivor - Quilter's style so who knows! Last but not least, Pat will give a presentation on using Electric Quilt to design quilts on Sunday morning. This year we are including Sunday lunch and you can stay and sew until 3 pm Sunday afternoon.

Cost:
- Double Occupancy Room $300 per participant
- Single Occupancy Room $350 per participant
- Triple/Quad Occupancy $275 per participant (you must arrange your own roommates)
- Participate in Retreat activities but no accommodations required - $225 per participant
- A $100 deposit is required to reserve your spot. There is a $25 non-refundable cancellation fee for any cancellations before November 1st, 2011. Cancellations between November 1st, 2011 and January 14, 2012 will incur a $50 non-refundable fee.
No refunds for cancellation after January 14, 2012. - Final payment is due by December 27, 2011. (Cash, check or credit cards accepted).
