Quilter's Paradise Retreat 2009 Scrapbook

Our hotel balcony view of the beautiful Panama City Beach!
Quilting by the Bay's 2nd Annual Quilter's Paradise Retreat was held January 31-February 1st at Paradise Palms Hotel on Panama City Beach. Lots of laughs, sharing tips and ideas, meeting new friends, beautiful quilts and GREAT food (thanks to Mr. Quilting by the Bay and master baker of brownies and all things sweet-Al Perdue) A great time was had by all of those attending as well as the Quilting by the Bay Staff. Peggy Barkle taught her Blendable Curves workshop and provided the Friday night lecture "Journey in the Life of a Fabri-Holic". Sunnie Malesky taught Blooms for Beginners & Other Flower Lovers as well as guiding those attendees adventurous enough (and those still awake) through making her Mystery Quilt on Saturday evening. Pat Wys of Silver Thimble Quilt Company taught Stack it, Slash It...Applique it! and then entertained everyone with her lecture "ABC's of Quilting" on Sunday morning. Both Pat Wys and Peggy Barkle kept the crowds oohing and ahhing with their beautiful trunk shows! And Sunnie Malesky presented her beautiful finished Mystery Quilt!
